Important Details for the Mail-In Process

Please be sure to include a note in the box with your name and phone number you used when filling out the online. If you do not, we will have no idea who sent us a machine and it will be returned to sender. Please be sure to send us your charger!

When self-shipping, for iPhones and iPads, we suggest wrapping your items in 1-2 layers of bubble wrap or similar and enclosing it in a small box padded with crumpled newspaper.

Laptops, be sure to wrap your computer in 2-3 inches of bubble wrap and place in an appropriately sized box.

Larger items such as desktops, wrapping with 2-3 inches of bubble wrap and place inside appropriately sized box, then placing the box in a larger box with extra packaging (1-2 inches) will result in the best protection. Alternatively, check out the video below. Newspaper and towels are not approved protection. It is not necessary to send the original box of your device for shipping.

We do not offer insurance on these packages, and are not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen items while in the care of the shipping carrier. We recommend that you add insurance to your shipment each way to cover the amount which you feel is reasonable. We are not responsible for any damage incurred because of improper packaging by the consumer when shipping devices to our facilities. You can also provide for your own return shipping. UPS and FedEx both offer boxes for shipping computers and offer pack and ship services. USPS is fine, but does not offer packing. Please make sure to package carefully, as Compco is not liable for computers physically damaged from shipping.

We cannot take responsibility for any shipped device since we cannot control or guarantee safe delivery from your carrier.

Any unclaimed, returned shipments, or inaccurate shipping addresses provided may result in return shipments or delays, as is this is the sole responsibility of the owner. Any return shipments will only be re-shipped after we receive payment for the reshipment charge.

Please be aware that in the unlikely event that you decline to have your product repaired once it is received by us, customer will be charged a return shipping & diagnostic service fee.

Once we have your computer, please allow us 1-3 business days to assess it and give you a quote. We offer free diagnostics. Please note, certain excepts apply to this. After we know what is wrong, you will be contacted. We work off a flat rate repair model: 

While we accept desktops and All-In-One (AIO) for repair, we would recommend taking any desktops and AIO systems to a local shop if possible. Desktops and especially AIOs have a higher chance of being damaged in shipping.

Laptops and OEM PCs - $129 + Parts
Custom Gaming and Worstation PCs - $190 + Parts

In some cases, due to the complexity and/or severity of a repair, additional labor or services may apply.  

Customer is responsible for shipping to and from our location. 

We do not work on iMacs over the mail.

We have had many bad experiences with not only shipping iMacs ourselves, but receiving them. iMacs are surprisingly fragile and require extra care when packing. Even then, we have still had issues. Due to this, many arrived damaged from shipping. We do not take any responsibility for shipping damage on iMacs shipped to us. We will not work on iMacs shipped to us either. Please do not ship them to us! Bring them in in-person or find someplace local!!!!

We do not service devices that are contaminated with human or animal waste or insects. Any systems that have been exposed to, infested with or have come into contact with animal or human waste, excrement, bodily fluids, etc. will be refused. Systems that have been contaminated or infested with insects will be refused. This is in violation of several health and safety ordinences of state and local goverment. Not to mention gross and a disease vector. DO NOT SEND US THESE MACHINES. If you do, you will be blacklisted. 

 

We do not provide any repair services outside contiguous US48. We do not do accept international repairs.
