We would recommend taking any desktops and All-In-One (AIO) systems to a local shop if possible. Desktops and especially AIOs have a higher chance of being damaged in shipping.

Be sure to wrap your system in 2-3 inches of bubble wrap and place in an appropriately sized box. UPS and FedEx both offer boxes for shipping computers and offer pack and ship services. USPS is fine, but does not offer packing. Please make sure to package carefully, as Compco is not liable for computers physically damaged from shipping.

Please be aware shipping and custom gaming desktops have a higher risk to be damaged from shipping!

Once you have my computer, what is the process?

Once we have your computer, please allow us 1-3 business days to assess it and give you a quote. We offer free diagnostics. Please note, certain excepts apply to this. After we know what is wrong, you will be contacted. We work off a flat rate repair model:

Laptops and OEM PCs - $129 + Parts
Custom Gaming and Workstation PCs - $190 + Parts
In some cases, due to the complexity and/or severity of a repair, additional labor or services may apply.

How much is return shipping?

Return shipping usually breaks down to the following:

13’’ and 15’’ Laptops – $15 Flat Rate
16’’ and 17’’ Laptops - $15-$29 (depending on location)
Desktop and AIO Shipping - $25-$60

Pricing on shipping depends on your location. The customer is responsible for shipping both ways. Return shipping costs will be added to your final invoice. Expedited shipping services are available at your request. Additional fees apply.

How long does a repair take?

This really depends on several factors. On average, we quote people between 3-10 business days turnaround after we received your device. However, complications such as part availability, shipping, data recovery and other factors can cause repairs to take longer. Expedited options are available.

Can you provide me a box for shipping?

At this time, this is not something we can provide. However, this is something we are looking into! Hopefully, we can make this happen in the future.

How much does a repair cost?

Due to the nature of the repair business, this is hard to tell you for sure. However, what we can say is most repairs average around $200-$300 before shipping and taxes. We are very up front about our repair process and pricing. If the repair is too much for you, just pay for shipping and we will send it back.

How may I pay?

Mail-in repairs can be paid via Visa, Mastercard, Discover, AMEX or PayPal.

Are there issues you won’t service?

There are some devices we do not service due to lack of parts, age, & other reasons. Do feel free to call, e-mail, or chat with us to ensure that your issue is serviceable before sending it in. We are always available immediately by phone.

Please note we do have exceptions:

We do not work on iMacs over the mail.

We have had many bad experiences with not only shipping iMacs ourselves, but receiving them. iMacs are surprisingly fragile and require extra care when packing. Even then, we have still had issues. Due to this, many arrived damaged from shipping. We do not take any responsibility for shipping damage on iMacs shipped to us. We will not work on iMacs shipped to us either. Please do not ship them to us! Bring them in in-person or find someplace local!!!!

We do not service ANY devices that are contaminated with human or animal waste or insects. Any systems that have been exposed to, infested or have come into contact with animal, insect or human excrement, bodily fluids, etc. will be refused. Systems that have been contaminated or infested with insects WILL be refused. This is in violation of several health and safety ordinances of state and local government. Not to mention it is gross and a disease vector. DO NOT SEND US THESE MACHINES. If you do, you WILL be blacklisted.

Yes: before you send a repair, don’t forget to fill out the form.

Do not send us any boxes you want to keep! This includes Apple boxes. We have limited space in our store, and all received boxes are broken down and disposed of the moment they are received. If you send us your device in its original box, such as the box Apple sells you the Macbook in – you will not receive it back.
